Tree’s corresponding position is esat, color green and season spring; Fire’s corresponding position is south, color red and season summer; Soil/earth’s corresponding position is middle, color yellow and it refers to days in the middle of each seasons(eg. midsummer); Gold refers to west, white and autumn; and Water refers to north, black and winter.

Therefore we have words like 青春、朱夏、白秋、玄冬, and it may sometimes apply to life as well.

Nowadays, ‘all life young’ expression may exist, but words other ‘youth’ are no longer used, but actually after youth (green spring), (red) summer is coming.

As images of color vary from season to season, how could that be if we restrict our lives within only the ‘green spring’!
